I'm Alexandrea (Alex for short).

I’m a researcher and a social justice advocate by day and a creative all the time. Hailing from the Motor City (Detroit), I have made my way across several states to land in Cleveland, a city that has captured my heart. I love cute coffee shops, reading, loving on family and friends, reading, loving on my fur babies…oh, did I mention reading?

I fell in love with photography as a kid, but with so few black photographers in sight, i never really thought it was an option for me. clearly, i was wrong. I love capturing the essence of life, creating stories, and making memories that transcend the moment. My photography allows me to take a step back to see the beauty of life in all its joy and messiness.

I want my photography to be a tool for love, for memories, for joy, for connecting, and for creating hope. So, what are you waiting for? let’s do this!
